Biography

I qualified as a solicitor in 1999 and joined Tees in January 2025.  I have 25 years of experience in the law relating to children, most recently in the Education Sector.  Before joining Tees I worked for a Local Authority and obtained extensive experience in Children’s safeguarding issues and the law relating to Looked After Children.

More recently, I have experience and have advised in respect of:

  • Special Educational Needs, including Needs Assessments, Education Health and Care Plans and statutory provision.
  • Disability Discrimination in the First Tier Tribunal
  • Judicial Review Claims.

I obtained my LLB Law Degree from the University of East Anglia in Norwich, followed by a Post Graduate Diploma at the College of Law.
