Tees, a leading provider of legal and financial services, has recently invested in its future growth with the redevelopment and expansion of its Chelmsford office at Parkview House. The newly refurbished space now offers state-of-the-art facilities and increased capacity to enhance client experience and support growing demand for legal and financial services across Essex.

On Thursday 25 June, Tees colleagues welcomed contacts to a launch event for drinks and canapés to see the newly expanded space. The evening was an opportunity to bring together professional contacts and friends of the firm to celebrate the milestone and explore the new facilities. Colleagues from across Tees’ legal and financial services teams spent time speaking with guests about the issues affecting local businesses, families and communities, sharing insights and discussing future opportunities. The event reflected the collaborative nature of the firm, and the strong relationships Tees has built across Essex over many years.

As of January 2026, Tees’ expanded Chelmsford hub begun providing a full-service offering for individuals, families and business owners. Legal service practice areas include Corporate and Commercial, Employment, Real Estate and Planning, Litigation and Dispute Resolution, Medical Negligence, Private Client and Family law, Residential property, as well as Tees independent financial planning services. The move reinforces the firm’s long-term commitment to Essex and its confidence in the region’s economic future. It marks a key step in Tees’ strategic growth plan, positioning the firm to support an increasing number of businesses and individuals across the county as Essex continues to evolve and thrive.

The decision comes at a pivotal time for the region, with devolution and the anticipated 2028 election of an Essex Mayor set to drive greater local investment, innovation and opportunity. Tees’ expansion aligns with these ambitions, ensuring the firm is well-placed to contribute to, and benefit from, the next chapter of the Essex growth story. The expansion underlines Tees’ role as a key employer in the region, creating space for new jobs and contributing to Chelmsford’s growing reputation as a regional business centre.

The recent move allows Tees to bring together its Chelmsford and Brentwood teams under one roof, creating a larger, centralised office with space for new legal and financial specialists and bringing teams closer together for seamless collaboration and enhanced expertise.

Conveniently located just a short walk from Chelmsford train station and with ample parking, the expanded office provides an even more accessible and welcoming space for clients and employees. The investment also builds on Tees’ digital innovations, such as its residential conveyancing service, which has streamlined property transactions and improved turnaround times. Combining cutting-edge digital solutions with personal, face-to-face support, the expansion reflects Tees’ ongoing commitment to delivering modern, accessible, and client-focused services.

Catherine Mowat, Senior Partner at Tees said, “Chelmsford has always been a cornerstone of success for Essex, a hub of enterprise, ambition and community. Our expansion here reflects both the strength of the local market and our confidence in the region’s future. As Essex moves into a new era of devolved leadership, we’re proud to be part of that journey, supporting local businesses, families and communities to make the most of the opportunities ahead.”

Ashton Hunt, Group Managing Director at Tees, added: “Our expansion in Parkview House is an investment in both our people and the communities we serve. This centralised location will strengthen our ability to deliver excellent client service by further improving efficiencies as well as deepening our connections within Chelmsford’s growing business community. This expansion reflects our commitment to meeting the evolving needs of our clients while maintaining the high standards of service for which Tees is known. Our teams are looking forward to welcoming clients to a modern office environment, designed around accessibility and comfort.”

This latest investment underscores Tees’ ongoing growth strategy across the East of England, combining strong regional roots with forward-looking ambition to meet the evolving needs of clients and communities.

The redevelopment of Parkview House was completed at the end of 2025 and will provide 13,166 sq. ft of modern office space. The expansion sees 45 colleagues relocate from the Brentwood office, bringing the total Chelmsford team to over 100.
