Alice Evelegh-Taylor

Senior Associate

Alice Evelegh-Taylor, Disputes solicitor

Biography

I qualified as a solicitor in 2013 and gained ten years’ experience in dispute resolution at a leading firm in Bristol specialising in professional negligence work on behalf of banks and financial services clients, before joining Tees as a Senior Associate in January 2024.

Delivering what you need

My experience includes advancing claims with values between c£30,000 – £3m against negligent professionals, in particular solicitors and valuers, in various circumstances including claims involving fraud.

If you feel that a professional you have instructed has not provided you with the service you expected to receive and you have suffered a loss as a result, I am here to help you. I can assist you with professional negligence claims against a variety of professional advisers, including:

  • Solicitors and other legal professionals;
  • Valuers, surveyors and project monitors;
  • Architects; and
  • Accountants.

My aim is always to ensure that claims are resolved efficiently and at proportionate cost, which may include negotiating a settlement by correspondence or employing an alternative dispute resolution method such as mediation.

Expertise
Professional negligence

The team at Tees is exceptional when it comes to corporate and commercial. Their tenacity and understanding of our business were excellent, as well as their understanding of a commercial deal that was not always straightforward.

Further information

I am proud of the positive feedback I have received over the years regarding the clarity and lack of jargon in my legal advice.

My commercial and pragmatic approach has also been praised: I very much enjoy ensuring that claims are resolved to my clients’ satisfaction and that every opportunity to maximise recovery has been taken.
