Tees is pleased to have advised the holding company of Aspraes Limited on its acquisition of Beaumont & Fletcher Limited, an expert in the industry of handmade furniture and bespoke craftsmanship of embroidered fabrics.

Owned and led by Chris Williams, Aspraes is a supplier of exquisite, high end soft furnishings and upholstery. Precision and expertise are at the heart of everything Aspraes does, which has seen the business grow since its inception 20 years ago.

Founded in 1989, Beaumont & Fletcher has a rich history of combining time-honoured craftsmanship and classically inspired designs. Boasting over 30 years of excellence, Beaumont & Fletcher has become a household name in the luxury handmade furniture space.

Aspraes has worked closely with Beaumont & Fletcher for many years. During that time, the companies have developed a unique professional relationship and the acquisition of Beaumont & Fletcher by Aspraes undoubtedly strengthens Aspraes’ already exquisite offering to its clients.

The Deal Team consisted of Baljeet Kaur (Partner, Corporate) and Charlie Neal (Solicitor, Corporate). Baljeet and Charlie worked on the transaction collaboratively with the team at Rickard Luckin, who advised on the tax and financial aspects. This transaction reflects the growing appetite for heritage craftsmanship and sustainable design, and highlights the value placed on artisanal expertise within the premium interiors sector.

Chris Williams, director of Aspraes, said: “I would like to extend my thanks to Baljeet Kaur and Charlie Neal of Tees, who were both extremely helpful and enabled us to complete the deal within the timeframe set. It was a pleasure to work with them, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anybody.”

Baljeet Kaur, Partner in Tees’ Corporate and & Commercial team, said: “Congratulations to Chris and his team on the acquisition. Tees provided comprehensive legal support throughout the process, ensuring a smooth transition of ownership. We are proud to have played a role in preserving and strengthening a brand rooted in British making traditions, while enabling our client to expand its presence in the high-end interiors market. We look forward to seeing the continued growth of Beaumont & Fletcher under Chris’ ownership.”

Brachers provided legal advice to the seller.
