Wealthier post-divorce? Protect your assets
Why you need a financial consent order after divorce Did you know your ex-partner could still claim money from you
I have worked in family law since 2014, qualifying as a solicitor in 2015. I previously worked at a well established Hertfordshire law firm before joining the family and divorce team based in the Chelmsford office at Tees in 2022.
I can advise on a wide range of Family law matters including divorce and finances, matters relating to children, domestic abuse issues, cohabitation disputes and advice on pre and post nuptial agreements. I understand the need for a fair but pragmatic approach and I am committed to reaching agreements without the need for formal Court proceedings wherever possible. As a member of Resolution, I offer constructive and practical advice, taking into account the needs of my clients.
I completed my law degree at the University of Hertfordshire where I also went on to study and complete the Legal Practice Course. I then worked at a regional law firm as a paralegal for 11 years, firstly in the property department and from 2014 in the Family department. I qualified as a solicitor in 2015 and since then have practised exclusively in family law.
I would recommend Joshua Coombe, Lisa Honey and Catriona Rafferty. Joshua Coombe has considerable experience and is regarded as a formidable local solicitor.

I enjoy spending time with my family, paddleboarding, and practising yoga in my spare time.
“Lisa Honey has been outstanding. Her advice was always given with excellent explanations, so I felt I totally understood everything. Her guidance has simply been invaluable to me, and I felt looked after during the whole process. She was forward thinking including all of the elements I was having to deal with which where a lot.” Legal 500 UK, 2025, South East – Private client – Family: Essex
“Lisa Honey is superb. She knows her cases inside out and always has everything in good order when instructing counsel.” Legal 500 UK, 2025, South East – Private client – Family: Essex
