We were delighted to attend the Annual Gala Dinner and Legal Excellence Awards 2026, held on Friday 17 April at Queens’ College, Cambridge. The event brought together over 240 guests to recognise outstanding achievements across the legal profession in Cambridgeshire, and to celebrate both individual and team success.
The evening was hosted by James Allen, President of Cambridgeshire Law Society, and Fiona McLeman, Vice-President, alongside generous sponsors including Mark Winchester of Rathbones Wealth Management as Platinum Sponsor. Guests also heard from Sarah Ferguson, Chair of Trustees for Centre 33, with a charity raffle held in support of the organisation.

Junior Lawyer of the Year
We are proud to share that Niamh Mackenzie-Johnson was awarded Junior Lawyer of the Year, sponsored by BPP University Law School. This recognition reflects her strong contribution, commitment, and growing reputation within the profession.
Property Team of the Year
Tees was awarded Property Team of the Year, sponsored by Handelsbanken. This award reflects the strength of our collaborative approach across commercial property, residential property, planning and property litigation, and the quality of the work delivered across the team.
Community Award
Tees was also highly commended in the Community Award category, recognising the firm’s ongoing commitment to supporting local organisations and making a positive contribution beyond legal services.
The evening highlighted the breadth of talent across the region, and we extend congratulations to all winners and those highly commended across every category.
