Tees is delighted to announce two solicitors from the firm have made it as finalists in the Resolution Awards 2026, for their work in improving outcomes for separating families.
Partner Helen Midgley is shortlisted for NCDR Practitioner of the Year, whilst Associate Amber Gregory is a finalist in the Rising Star category. Both Family Law specialists work as part of the Resolution group, a community of family justice professionals who help to resolve issues between families, in a constructive manner.
The Resolution Awards celebrate the individuals, teams and organisations who embody the values at the heart of Resolution’s Code of Practice. Recognising excellence, innovation and dedication across the family justice profession, the awards shine a spotlight on those making a meaningful difference for families.
This year’s finalists were selected by an expert judging panel from across the sector, who considered a wide range of high-quality entries from members committed to improving outcomes for separating families and children.
Partner Helen Midgley supports the Tees Family Law team with Non-Court Dispute Resolution efforts as a Mediator and Resolution Together practitioner and helps those involved in family relationship breakdowns discuss and negotiate bespoke solutions and options, in a cost-efficient and voluntary forum. Helen is also a specialist joint advisor for separating couples, using the Resolution Together approach (one couple, one lawyer) to help families work together without unnecessary conflict.
Associate Amber Gregory has been working in Family law since 2020 and qualified as a solicitor in 2023. She advises clients on a range of family matters, including private children’s law, divorce and finances and cases involving domestic abuse. Amber seeks to resolve disputes constructively by considering alternative methods of dispute resolution where possible and appropriate.
To be shortlisted in one of the 16 categories is a testament to the breadth of talent, expertise and collaboration that exists at both Resolution level and within Tees. Tees are also part of the cohort which have been shortlisted in the ‘Resolution Region of the Year’ category, for Cambridge and West Suffolk regions.
This year is the biggest awards ceremony for Resolution to date, and the Awards Gala Dinner is due to take place on Thursday 24 September at Church House in London.
Good luck to all who have been shortlisted, we look forward to honouring the individuals and teams making a real difference in Family Law.
