I joined Tees in May 2025, bringing with me over 23 years of experience in family law, having qualified as a solicitor in May 2005. Prior to joining Tees, I led the Family Law team at a well-regarded firm in Peterborough and was recognised in The Legal 500 as a “Next Generation Partner”.
My work encompasses all aspects of family law, including divorce, financial settlements, and arrangements for children following separation. I also advise on the preparation of pre-nuptial, post-nuptial, and cohabitation agreements—helping clients protect their assets during the course of a relationship.
As a member of Resolution, I am committed to resolving disputes in a constructive, non-confrontational manner in accordance with its Code of Practice. I understand the emotional toll that family breakdowns can take and always aim to resolve matters swiftly and sensitively. Where court proceedings are necessary, I provide robust and empathetic support throughout the process, always prioritising the well-being of my clients and their children.
In recent years, I have developed particular expertise in complex financial matters arising from separation, including cases involving both married and cohabiting partners. I recognise concerns around legal costs and will explore all available avenues to reach a resolution, including mediation and other forms of non-court dispute resolution.

Client testimonials
“After being passed between four different solicitors at another firm during a long and difficult divorce, I cannot overstate what a difference Hannah made. From the moment she took on my case, she brought calm, clarity and real insight to a process that had felt relentless and overwhelming. Hannah arranged an excellent barrister on my behalf and managed the entire process from start to finish with exceptional professionalism. I always felt informed, supported and confident that my case was in the right hands. I would wholeheartedly recommend Hannah to anyone going through a difficult family law matter. She is quite simply outstanding.” Andrew Renolds (Review Solicitors)
“Hannah is always very helpful and quick to respond to any questions I’ve had and has always given great advice” Anonymous (Review Solicitors)
“I felt at ease straight away with Hannah Byatt. The case I brought to her, was something I never even knew even existed in Law. As my X wife and her solicitor at the time of our divorce nearly 10 years ago, seem to have kept to themselves, paperwork that a financial settlement had to be done, which I new nothing about. I had already paid her a substantial amount at time of our divorce, and I was glad at least this was recorded. So when I spoke to Hannah for first time she was very professional and put me at ease. I had just been made redundant and I was also going through Cancer” Stephen Diggons (Review Solicitors)
“I’m very happy with how Hanna dealt with my divorce proceedings . Her advice and her very efficient work made me feel confident that I would get the best end result possible .” Lee dickie (Review Solicitors)
