I am an Executive Partner and joint Head of the Wills, Trusts, Tax and Probate Department, which comprises 2 Executive Senior Associates, 2 Partners, 2 Consultants, numerous Lawyers and a team of Trust Tax Accountants, all available to meet you at any of our offices or at your home, hospital or care home.
I have worked in this field for more than a decade and have extensive experience in all areas, but my particular area of interest is Trust work. I provide advice on the creation, management and cessation of Trusts, as well as acting as a professional Trustee myself for many of my clients. I also have considerable knowledge of succession and tax planning for rural clients.
I believe that a good Lawyer does not just simply know the Law but understands their clients’ needs and objectives and provides clear, practical advice. I strive to assist my clients in a clear and approachable manner and always endeavour to understand the whole picture (both financial and personal, current and historic) in order to provide comprehensive advice. I believe in not simply identifying issues but suggesting potential solutions and working through the options to help clients make an informed decision.

Nicola Havers has exceptional client focus, understanding and listening skills.

I originally qualified in Commercial Property in 2006 at the City Firm, Jones Day having completed my training contract with them. After a short stint in the City, I practised Commercial Property Law in St Albans for approximately 4 years before deciding to change specialism and move into the world of Wills, Trusts, Tax and Probate at Tees in 2010. My property background provides invaluable insight in my current field.
“I have recently been involved in a long and protracted probate involving the estate of my sister. Throughout this three year period I have received help and support of a high order. In particular from Nicola Havers who has been very understanding and sympathetic to my situation. ” Legal 500 UK, 2025
