Tees the Season: A Festive Guide to Inheritance Tax Free Gifting
Christmas is known as the season of giving. What better way to spread joy this festive season than by giving
I am a Solicitor and accredited Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) in the Private Client and Court of Protection Teams at Tees. I can assist with a range of issues, including:
As a Private Client and Court of Protection lawyer, my aim is to help my clients achieve the best outcomes by providing tailored legal advice and solutions that address their unique personal, familial, and financial needs. By building relationships and understanding each client’s individual goals, I discuss strategies that safeguard their assets, navigate legal complexities, and achieve their estate planning objectives. My approach is proactive, responsive, and client-centered, aiming to deliver peace of mind and optimal results.
In practice, this means that I will keep you regularly updated with progress on your matter, and that I will do all that I can to explain legal complexities in an accessible way. Clients often deal with the Private Client and Court of Protection Teams during difficult periods of their lives, and so I will try to alleviate as much of that worry as possible.
If further work arises that falls outside of my specialty, then you can be assured that Tees is a multi-disciplinary firm with numerous talented legal advisors who I can refer your enquiry to.

I've never found an area where Tees have been unable to help. There is considerable strength across the organisation. Individuals have good contacts outside of their practice area. I have always found Tees accessible and helpful.
Legal 500 UK, 2025

I graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2015 with a Bachelor of Law. I then took a brief career break to study Culinary Arts at the University of West London, before resuming my legal career in Private Client in 2018. I completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC) with De Montfort University in 2021.
In addition to my formal legal training, I am an accredited Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) of the Society for Trust and Estate Planners (STEP). I have completed further advanced courses in; Trust Disputes (for which I achieved the STEP Excellence Award as the global top-scoring student), Cross-Border Estates, Taxation of Trusts and Estates in England and Wales, and The Administration of Estates in England and Wales. STEP is a global professional body that helps families plan for their futures, and STEP members are internationally recognised as experts in their fields.
In my spare time I still enjoy experimenting with cooking, painting, learning French, and careering through the Cambridgeshire countryside after my two unruly rescue dogs; Duke (who is an English Foxhound), and Milo (who is a Springer Spaniel x Labrador).
