Use your will to protect your business from inheritance tax
People with assets that qualify for business property relief (BPR) or agricultural property relief (APR) can often save significant amounts
I am a senior associate solicitor in Tees’ Wills, Tax, Trusts and Probate team and am based in our Bishop’s Stortford Office. I have worked in this field since I qualified as a solicitor in 2005, and I undertake all types of private client work for a diverse range of clients including, preparing Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney and registering Enduring Powers of Attorney, providing estate planning advice, administering estates and advising on trusts and their administration.
I aim to provide clear, simple, practical advice tailored to each individual client’s personal needs and endeavour to be approachable so as to build up a strong working relationship with my clients.

I've never found an area where Tees have been unable to help. There is considerable strength across the organisation. Individuals have good contacts outside of their practice area. I have always found Tees accessible and helpful.
Legal 500 UK, 2025

I trained at Herbert Smith Freehills in the city and, after qualifying in 2005, was a member of their trusts and private client team for nearly 7 years, primarily working with ultra high net worth individuals domiciled outside of the UK. As well as advising on a wide range of international trust, tax and probate matters, my practice also involved a considerable amount of contentious trust and probate work. After leaving Herbert Smith Freehills and having had a short stint at Penningtons Manches in the city, I joined Tees in August 2014. I have been a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), the foremost professional body in the private client field, since 2006. I am also a member of the Law Society’s Private Client Section.
