New statutory rates from April 2026: what employers need to do now
April tends to bring routine increases to statutory rates. April 2026 is different. Alongside the usual uplifts, there are changes
I advise on workplace issues where the legal, commercial and personal stakes are high. From senior exits and disciplinary processes to restructures, Tribunal claims and discrimination issues, I help clients navigate difficult situations with clarity, confidence and a firm grasp of risk.
I am an Associate based in our Bishop’s Stortford office. My work covers a broad range of employment law matters, including grievances, settlement agreements, redundancy exercises, TUPE transfers and Employment Tribunal litigation. I act in claims involving unfair dismissal, breach of contract and discrimination under the Equality Act 2010, including sex, race, disability and maternity-related claims.
I have also been involved in high-profile and appellate-level litigation, including Cartamundi UK Ltd v Worboyes in the Employment Appeal Tribunal and S Pointer v Brixworth Parish Council, a disability discrimination first instance matter concerning accessibility support for a visually impaired councillor.
Since qualifying in 2008, I have advised clients across London, Essex and Hertfordshire. I am also an Associate Member of the CIPD, which means I bring HR-informed insight as well as legal expertise to the advice I give.
Clients appreciate my calm judgement, responsiveness and commercially focused approach, particularly when matters are sensitive or fast-moving.

Their approach is both collaborative and practical.

Outside work, I am kept busy by two children and four dogs, with Pilates and running providing balance.
Testimonials:
“The knowledge and expertise behind the advice provided by Ola McGhee of Tees Law was exceptional. I was very confident that we were navigating a delicate and complex process in a professional way. The outcome was perfect, achieving what we needed at the time we needed. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending very highly Ola and her colleagues at TEES Law.” Neil Burbidge
