I joined Tees in 2025 to help grow our contentious trust and probate team.
I qualified as a solicitor in 1998 and have always specialised in litigation and dispute resolution. In recent years, my focus has been on resolving disputes involving wills, estates, and trusts.
I act for executors and trustees, as well as beneficiaries and family members who may feel unfairly treated in someone’s estate planning. My aim is always to resolve disputes constructively—whether through negotiation and mediation or, where necessary, through the Courts. I find that early advice often helps clients prevent disputes from escalating and protects family relationships.
I am based in our Chelmsford office but regularly work with clients across all our offices.
Recent cases include:
Applying to the High Court to remove executors who refused to implement a Deed of Variation.
Resolving a dispute between siblings who inherited a farm jointly but farmed the land separately.
Defending a homemade will against allegations of fraud brought by disappointed beneficiaries.

Very in-depth knowledge and much depth to the team. The advice is always on point with due consideration given to cost:benefit analysis.
