Biography

I started with Tees as a trainee solicitor in 2001, qualifying in 2003, and have worked as a Private Client solicitor ever since. I became a Partner in 2011 and am now Head of the Agricultural Team at Tees.  I specialise in working with and understanding the needs of both wealthy and elderly clients, particularly those from a rural background.  I help by offering capital tax planning advice and guidance to those who wish to provide for their own and their family’s futures. I have extensive experience in dealing with clients in later life and providing succession planning advice to farmers; I help structure a framework that gives confidence and reassurance that their affairs will be dealt with appropriately going forward. I administer a range of estates and regularly act as a professional trustee including for large charitable trusts.

Delivering what you really need

Having been born and brought up in Hertfordshire, as part of the local rural community, I particularly understand the needs of farmers and the challenges they currently face.  My background helps me to deliver the solutions farmers need. It also means that I am continuing Tees’s long tradition for acting for wealthy individuals and farming families, whose complex financial and personal circumstances require an extremely sensitive and creative approach to achieve successful outcomes, balancing the varying needs of the generations.

Working at Tees places me in the great position of being able to work in conjunction with Tees Financial and our own team of tax specialists to provide a uniquely complete analysis of your assets and deliver the most appropriate and financially sound succession plan for you and your family.

Our testimonials show that we provide our clients with a level of service and legal knowledge that is second to none.
