Tees, with over a century of experience supporting agricultural and landed estate clients, welcomed students and staff from Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) Writtle to its North Hertfordshire office this month to celebrate the winners of the first Tees Agricultural Award.
Championing the next generation of agricultural professionals
Developed in partnership with ARU Writtle, the award supports promising agriculture students from across the East of England. It recognises talent and hard work among the next generation of professionals, helping shape the region’s agricultural future.
Each year, Tees is to present two prizes to high-performing students based on their second-year results in the following courses:
- Agriculture
- Agriculture (Regen Systems and Livestock)
- Agriculture (Regen Systems)
This year’s top performer, Imogen Osborne, received £2,000 (pictured with a cheque), with the runner-up, Laurel Sparks, winning £1,000 (who sadly could not make the ceremony).
A long-standing commitment to the rural community
Letty Glaister, Partner and Head of the Agriculture Team at Tees, said:
“Supporting future leaders in agriculture is a natural fit for Tees. We’ve worked alongside the rural community for generations, so it’s a privilege to recognise these students’ achievements and encourage their continued success.”
Eligibility for the award is limited to students from the East of England, including Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk — reflecting Tees’ deep regional roots.
The celebration marks a milestone in Tees’ ongoing collaboration with ARU Writtle and its continued investment in the region’s rural economy. With more than 30 lawyers, including 10 partners specialising in agriculture, Tees offers expert advice across a wide range of legal and financial matters affecting farms, estates and agri-businesses.
Tees extends warm congratulations to the award winners and wishes all ARU Writtle agriculture students continued success in their studies.
