I am known as Becky, and I work as a paralegal in the Wills Trust, Tax and Probate Department based in our Royston office. I have joined Tees at the beginning of 2023.
The best part of working in a Private Client team is feeling like I can make a difference, whether it is ensuring someone’s wishes are written in their will or assessing whether a client is as tax-efficient as possible. For me, ensuring the client experience is a positive one is the most important part of my role. I am responsible for all new probate inquiries, providing a sympathetic and sensitive approach, which I take pride in. During a client’s most challenging time, I aim to make the process as smooth as possible.

I've never found an area where Tees have been unable to help. There is considerable strength across the organisation. Individuals have good contacts outside of their practice area. I have always found Tees accessible and helpful.

I gained a first-class honours degree in Law and will started the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) in March 2025. I aim to qualify as a solicitor and become STEP accredited. This additional qualification will enhance my advice to clients, making me a more effective solicitor for the firm and its clients.
In my spare time, I greatly advocate for physical exercise to improve mental health, and I regularly go running with my nutty cocker spaniel.
