How can I help you?
I am a solicitor in the family and divorce department at Tees, based in the Brentwood office.
I started working in family law in 2017, qualifying as a solicitor in November 2023. I have experience in a wide range of family matters including private law children, domestic abuse, divorce, separation, and finances.
Delivering what you need
I appreciate approaching a solicitor can be daunting, so I do my best to ensure clients feel at ease and are listened to. I aim to build a rapport with clients and a strong communicative relationship so that clients understand what is happening and feel comfortable approaching me.
I can assist in matters of financial remedy and private children disputes following the relationship breakdown of married couples, civil partners, and unmarried couples. Concerning financial matters, this includes negotiating financial settlements, financial consent orders, cohabitation agreements, Schedule 1 applications, and all contested proceedings.
I am particularly experienced in dealing with private law children matters concerning the arrangements of children, which often involve sensitive and complex issues. This includes negotiating arrangements outside of court or assisting in matters within court proceedings involving applications for Child Arrangement Orders, Prohibited Steps Orders or Specific Issue Orders. I have experience in sensitive and complex matters of internal and external relocation, allegations of serious harm, and parental alienation. I also have significant experience in matters involving domestic abuse and can assist with applications concerning Non-Molestation Orders and Occupation Orders.
I understand family disputes can be an extremely emotional and challenging experience, and I strive to support clients through this difficult time. I therefore seek to resolve disputes constructively and practically looking at alternative methods of dispute resolution where possible. I aim to handle matters in a cost effective and time efficient manner.
What else should you know?
I studied law at the University of Greenwich and I graduated in 2017 with a First Class Honours degree. I then worked as a paralegal for over four years in a specialist family law firm in London. Whilst working as a paralegal, I studied the Legal Practice Course part-time at the University of Law in Moorgate, achieving a distinction.
I then commenced a training contract at the same firm in May 2022, completing seats in the different family law departments. I then qualified as a solicitor in November 2023, after which I joined Tees shortly after.
