Tees advises on the sale of Companion Care (Chelmsford) Limited
Tees Law has advised the seller of Companion Care (Chelmsford) Limited, a joint venture veterinary practice operating as part of Pets at Home UK and its leading small animal veterinary business.
Companion Care (Chelmsford) Limited was established in 2004 and has quickly become a renowned veterinary practice in the Essex region being run by Veterinary practitioner and business partner, Simone Dent, for over 19 years.
Partner Lucy Folley and Associate Natasha Bhandari at Tees advised Simone on the corporate transaction dealing with the business and financing requirements, working with the Vets for Pets legal team to achieve a smooth transition of the business to its new business partner.
Simone commented:
“Working with Tees was an absolute pleasure. Lucy and Natasha showed exceptional attention to detail and handled the deal with precision and care. Throughout the process, they worked collaboratively with the Vets for Pets legal team and prioritised protecting my interests. Moreover, they consistently made themselves available to clarify intricate matters and ensured I understood the nuances of complex legal terminology. I would like to thank the entire team for successfully closing this transaction”.
Lucy Folley commented:
“It was a pleasure to support our client in achieving her strategic objectives. I believe that we were able to understand Simone’s commercial requirements well and represent those in the legal documents. It was also a pleasure to work closely with all parties involved to ensure the continued success of the business during the transaction timetable.”

Lucy Folley was a critical part of getting the deal done. Lucy's understanding of our business was essential in getting the deal across the line. Without her efforts, I believe that it would not have gone through. I cannot recommend her enough!

'Lucy Folley has been my main contact. One of Lucy’s biggest strengths is her pragmatism. In a number of deals Lucy has been involved in, the counterparty in our negotiations has commented on how fair her approach is. This has made it much easier for us to close positions'
