How I can help you?
I am an experienced medical negligence solicitor with over a decade of experience in this area of law. During this time I have helped many clients obtain the answers to complex medical issues to enable them to move forward with their lives following bad experiences whilst obtaining medical treatment. I have also helped many clients obtain just compensation for their injuries. Although financial compensation does not do away with the injuries suffered, it does go a long way towards relieving the financial burden that is experienced by many people following medical negligence, for example the costs of aids, equipment and day to day care.
I have experience across a wide variety of medical negligence claims including:
- Orthopaedic injuries,
- Negligence by GPs;
- Negligent surgery;
- Gynaecological injuries;
- Delayed cancer diagnoses, and;
- Medical errors causing death (including inquests).
Delivering what you really need
I am dedicated to achieving the best results for my clients while also understanding that for most people bringing a medical negligence claim can be a daunting prospect. I am attuned to the needs of my clients and appreciate that for many people obtaining explanations as to what went wrong and why, or an apology and assurance that processes have changed, can be just as important as achieving compensation for their injuries.
I pride myself in my empathetic approach and being able to make clients feel comfortable to share sensitive information with me. I go out of my way to provide answers to any questions that my clients may have about the circumstances of their injury.
I have built up excellent working relationships with numerous medical experts and barristers so that my clients are assured of getting the best possible team working together for them.
I am always focused on the needs of my clients and this includes home visits for those clients who have difficulty travelling.
What else should you know?
I graduated from King’s College London in 2005 with a degree in Law. I thereafter completed the postgraduate Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, achieving a Distinction.
I qualified as a solicitor in 2011 and have solely specialised in medical negligence claims since then. I joined Tees Law in April 2020 and have been the Team Leader for the Chelmsford medical negligence department since June 2021.
Outside of work, I enjoy exploring the Essex countryside local to where I live as well as hiking and travelling further afield.
I am a Board member for the Tees’ Better Future Fund which awards grants to local charities for projects focussed on learning and education, or health and wellbeing. I have organised and participated in fundraising activities for the Better Future Fund, including completing Hadrian’s Wall over 4 days in May 2023. Whenever I can, I also participate in fundraising events for local and national charities such as Ellenor, Alzheimer’s Society, MacMillan Cancer Support and Walk the Walk (Uniting Against Breast Cancer).
