How can I help you?
I specialise in contentious construction matters, including claims relating to breach of contract, the recovery of interim and final payments, valuation and variation disputes, defective works and professional negligence. I act for developers, contractors, sub-contractors and individuals.
I am experienced in referring and responding to adjudications and firmly believe in this method of resolving construction disputes.
I run the NFU LAS scheme and am the firm’s main point of contact with the NFU. I advise agricultural and farming clients on a range of disputes, including adverse possession, rights of way, easements, boundary issues, rights of light, contracts and commercial claims.
Delivering what you really need
I understand the stress and financial implications of any form of dispute and will always provide commercial advice, allowing my clients to make informed commercial decisions from the outset.
I believe that alternative dispute resolution is a powerful tool, and I proactively seek to negotiate and settle disputes where possible, including through mediation. The Legal 500 2020 edition describes me as “well-versed in ADR”.
What else should you know?
I qualified at a well-known regional firm at the beginning of 2018 where I worked for over 5 years. Before this, I spent over 8 years in London working in private practice and an in-house legal department. I joined Tees in September 2020.
